Description:
This course is offered as a seminar aimed at course design and course development. Its focus is on constructive alignment, professional practice and informed use of writing and writing education to enhance learning. The specfic writing focus of the course generates learning outcomes that: enhance writing education in both writing-to-learn and learning-to-write; promote critical reading strategies for writing and learning; improve textual rhetoric and analysis; and provide constructive feedback on writing. The course focuses on both teacher and student writing. This course is demanding and requires a context in which teachers can work on and re-design one or more writing assignments, whilst also working to improve their own writing.
